Each ticket represents one balloon purchase, to be released on the Official Race Day. The cost of each ticket is R100, representing R10 towards the Organiser and a donation of R90 towards the Charities supported by Astrea Lodge, in and around Dullstroom. Ballons are tagged with a unique number linked to the ticket holder. The balloons, tags and ribbons used in this Race are 100% bio-degradable and eco-friendly. Winners are determined by the return of the balloon tags – the furthest distance and/or first tag number reported to the organisers will determine the prize allocation. Prizes donated to the Race are shown on the Balloon Race Website and are updated regularly. Prizes are non-transferrable and may not be exchanged for cash. The first 10 balloon tag details reported with a valid date-stamped proof (via WhatsApp or e-mail) will qualify for a Finders’s Fee of R500. The cut-off date for reporting of ticket tags is 31st December 2025. Results will be posted on the website. The organisers will not accept liability for lost, delayed or damaged balloons or tags. All proceeds benefit charitable causes determined by the organising committee and Astrea Lodge in Dullstroom.
